Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins has been honored with several awards. In 1989 the Ozarks Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers presented the Excellence in Engineering Award for the thermal ice storage, chiller system serving the Shewmaker Communication Center at Drury University. ASHRAE again honored MFEC in 1995 as the Employer of the Year for their outstanding support of chapter activities.

In 2002, the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce recognized MFEC as a semifinalist for the W. Curtis Strube, Small Business of the Year. The Springfield Contractors Association presented to MFEC the 2004 Engineer of the Year award to celebrate the companies continuing commitment to excellence in design and contributions to the construction industry.
