MFEC Employees Reach Out to Help Victims of Joplin EF5 Tornado
05.26.2011Employees in the Springfield, Missouri office came together and donated over 215 pounds of dry goods and toiletries for the tornado victims in Joplin. These items were taken to the Ozarks Food Harvest on Tuesday just 2 days after the devastation occurred. Our employees and their families are continuing to help by reaching out to assist other organizations like this outside of work. This tragedy hits close to home since one of our very own MFEC employees lives in Joplin. We take great pride in helping others and will continue our efforts in whatever way we can.
Misson Underpants – A HUGE Success!
05.11.2011MFEC employees participated in MISSION UNDERPANTS, a charity drive to collect new underwear and socks for charities in need of such items. The drive was huge success! MFEC along with other firms donated more than 11,500 pairs of socks and underwear going to local charities.

Nominees were judged on their leadership and influence, accomplishments, and community involvement. Congratulations Jennifer! This honor is well deserved.
Sports Lighting
03.14.2011MFEC recently completed design of a project with the City of Wichita. The scope included sports field lighting and electrical updgrades to Lawrence Dumont Stadium – home of the Wichita Wingnuts. Construction bids have been received and even though the project schedule is extremely fast tracked, it is planned to be completed by opening day 2011.
Project – Public Safety Center
12.16.2010MFEC was recently awarded a LEED Commissioning project for a new Public Safety Center located at the Greene County Campus in Springfield, Missouri. The project is currently in the design development phase and is being designed and commissioned to achieve a LEED Silver rating.
Project – Shawnee Mission School District
12.13.2010The Shawnee Mission School District recently awarded MFEC a project to provide engineering design services for chiller, cooling tower and automated controls upgrades at Prairie Elementary School. This project has a fast tracked schedule with work to begin immediately. The project is expected to be designed and constructed by August 5, 2011.
